One-to-one counseling for ages 14 and up, in person in Huntingdon or by secure video anywhere in Pennsylvania.

I work with adolescents 14 and older, adults, and older adults, across a wide range of life stages. Each stage brings its own challenges, transitions, and opportunities for growth. Working across the lifespan lets me address both the immediate concern and the broader patterns beneath it.
Worry that will not switch off, panic, social anxiety, and the physical toll of running on alert. Practical, evidence-based tools for turning the volume down.
Low mood, lost interest, and the flatness that makes even good days feel gray. Treatment that works on both the thoughts and the daily patterns underneath them.
The quieter work of figuring out what you value, where you are hard on yourself, and what a life built around your own answers would look like.
For athletes at any level: performance anxiety, confidence after an injury or a slump, pressure from coaches and parents, and keeping sport a source of identity rather than a threat to it.
Also treated: panic, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, anger, stress and burnout, ADHD, alcohol and drug use, co-occurring disorders, gambling, codependency, relationship difficulty, family conflict, life transitions, and questions of faith and meaning.
I provide individual counseling focused on the needs and goals of the person receiving care. Because relationships matter to well-being, our work may include relationship, couple, or family concerns, and when helpful I may meet with couples or family members together. One person remains the primary client.
My starting point is person-centered: you are the one who knows your life. What I add is structure. CBT for thoughts that will not let go, DBT skills for distress that outruns thinking, exposure and response prevention for obsessive-compulsive patterns, and motivational interviewing when part of you is not sure yet.
Your first appointment is 75 to 90 minutes: getting to know one another, reviewing consent and confidentiality, and talking through what brings you in and what you hope to gain. You do not need to have everything figured out before you arrive. The goal is to leave with a clearer sense of where we can go from here.
The free consultation call is 15 minutes. The intake session is $190 for 75 to 90 minutes, and ongoing sessions are $150 for 50 to 55 minutes.
